Book Update May 2018

Hello lovely readers!           I haven’t written a book update in a while, so here we go! Currently, I am in the (what feels like) never-ending editing process.           I have printed copy of my book for a paper edit, which has been overly exciting! Firstly, to actually hold my book is an amazing feeling! And secondly, because I love stationery so there are tabs, Post-its, and highlighting everywhere! About My Cp Mike

Next in my Critique Partner (CP) introduction series, is the wonderful Michael Boik. We met on Twitter, through a desperation post I made looking for a CP who writes YA/NA Contemporary Fiction, that isn’t fantasy. I love my fantasy writing friends but I was looking for someone who would get my genre. Mike chivalrously came to my rescue. Book Review Heart on a Chain

Full disclosure: I was not paid for this review, nor did I receive a free copy of the book in exchange for a review. I receive no compensation for anyone purchasing the book from the above links. Basically, I am just reviewing this book because I liked the book :) In my quest to read more self-published books, I clicked up (like picked up, but for digital books) a copy of Heart on a Chain by indie author Cindy C Bennett.

About My CP Rowan

First up in my series of getting to know my Critique Partners (CP) is the CP who is furthest in my book, the wonderful Rowan Liddell! She and I met online about 6 months ago and I’m so grateful that we did. Rowan was one of the very first people to read my book baby and has been amazingly kind, insightful, and so SO funny with her feedback. Although Rowan and I write in different genres (she writes amazing high fantasy, and I write contemporary fiction) we connect on a personal level and appreciate each other’s writing.

Book Review a Flicker of Shadows

Full Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback. In fact, M.N. Seeley was adamant I not sugar coat my review :) First things first, this book is NOT my typical genre, but it’s a self-published book with an intriguing plot. As you may know, one of my goals this year is to support more self-published authors by reading more indie! This book is a literary suspense, heavy on the literary style!
