tldr version: This is a great book, excellent start to the series. I highly recommend Heist Society to anyone who enjoys YA contemporary Adventure books (pssst: That’s a similar genre to The Guardians of Enlightenment!) I read this book because it was listed on my Goodreads recommended reads. I’m so glad that it was! Heist society follows 15 year-old Katrina Bishop (Kat) on a mission to clear her father’s name, not with the police, with someone far worse.

Defeat writer’s block once and for all! Ah, writer’s block. I don’t know a writer who hasn’t stumbled into this pit at least once. I certainly used to fall prey to the seductive excuse of my muse abandoning me. I have learned a lot, especially since becoming a mom, about pushing past the fog and getting back to the text. So, today let’s talk about writer’s block, and how to remove it from your catalogue of excuses.

Goals 2018 This year I am aiming to create and complete my goals on a quarterly basis. For the first quarter, these are my writing goals: Continue frequent posts on twitter including #thurstale (check me out on twitter). Do at least 2 book reviews for the blog (preference going to self-published authors). Keep up with weekly blog posts. Send frequent chapters to my Critique Partners (CP), and keep my return rate prompt.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I took a couple weeks off of the blog. I had a terrible flu the week before Christmas, then Christmas had me SO delightfully busy this past week. Hello all, This week I am doing a bit of an update, as I have been getting so many wonderful questions about where I am in the whole writing process. Goals met: Wow, 2017 is almost over, which is hard to believe! In regards to my writing goals, this year has been huge for me. The biggest thing was overcoming my fear of telling all of you lovely (terrifying) people that I’m writing a book!
