Seeley was adamant I not sugar coat my review :) First things first, this book is NOT my typical genre, but it’s a self-published book with an intriguing plot. As you may know, one of my goals this year is to support more self-published authors by reading more indie! This book is a literary suspense, heavy on the literary style!

Alright so…another TAG!! :D Thanks to my dear friend Scarlett, I’m back with a 30 question tag, and couldn’t be happier. What do you hope to communicate to your audience with your WIP? We all have more strength in us than we know. Sometimes our life circumstances have pressed that strength waaaay down. But it’s there…and it’ll find it’s way out. Also, some of us grow up thinking we always have to behave ourselves.

tldr version: This is a great book, excellent start to the series. I highly recommend Heist Society to anyone who enjoys YA contemporary Adventure books (pssst: That’s a similar genre to The Guardians of Enlightenment!) I read this book because it was listed on my Goodreads recommended reads. I’m so glad that it was! Heist society follows 15 year-old Katrina Bishop (Kat) on a mission to clear her father’s name, not with the police, with someone far worse.

Defeat writer’s block once and for all! Ah, writer’s block. I don’t know a writer who hasn’t stumbled into this pit at least once. I certainly used to fall prey to the seductive excuse of my muse abandoning me. I have learned a lot, especially since becoming a mom, about pushing past the fog and getting back to the text. So, today let’s talk about writer’s block, and how to remove it from your catalogue of excuses.

Goals 2018 This year I am aiming to create and complete my goals on a quarterly basis. For the first quarter, these are my writing goals: Continue frequent posts on twitter including #thurstale (check me out on twitter). Do at least 2 book reviews for the blog (preference going to self-published authors). Keep up with weekly blog posts. Send frequent chapters to my Critique Partners (CP), and keep my return rate prompt.
